The ALU-GARD is an excellent alternative security door screening solutions for all types of Australian conditions. Alu-gard is made of a perforated aluminium sheet and retained in an extruded aluminium frame. This give your a rather unobstructed view of the outside while maintaining it’s “strenght” profile. Because it’s aluminium, it is also very resistant to corrosion, so it looks great and stays strong. In fact, the aluminium is so strong that it meets Australian Standards AS5041-2003 for hinged security doors, passing the tests for Knife Shear, Dynamic Impact and Jemmy.

If you were to compare the two products, the ALU-GARD door is not as strong as the INVISI-GARD door, as we will discuss momentarily. However, it is much more affordable to purchase and install. When installed correctly by a Licensed Dealer, Invisi-Gard meets all of the requirements for Security Doors and Windows as determined by Australian Standards, these being AS5039, AS5040 and AS5041.

It is treated with high quality UV resistant powder coating so that it doesn’t get worn down by the sun’s harmful rays. INVISI-GARD has patented an incredible Extreme Grip Protection system, which allows the screen to be retained in its aluminium frame without contacting it. This not only hides unsightly screws and bolts, but also prevents the two materials from touching, preventing corrosion.
